For this next project, we looked at different advertisements and talked about the different techniques that are used to capture the audience: emotion, exaggeration, benefit, problem/solution, and testimonial. Students were then grouped and assigned an object from either the school store or the cafeteria. The challenge is for the groups to come up with 4-5 good advertisements for the product using the techniques we looked at. Once everyone is finished with their posters, we will be having an in-class competition to decide which group did the best advertising work. The winners will receive Phantom dollars to spend at the school store as well as a free BYOD day. So far, the results are very eye catching!
